About the lectures:
In the lecture „Resilient neighbourhoods – Strategies for sustainable urban development“, Kees Christiaanse will present best practice examples from his office that deal with sustainable urban development and urban redevelopment. Irina Milash will introduce the „Integrated Urban Development in Ukraine II“ project, highlighting its role in strategic planning for sustainable urban development and the renovated shelter for Internally Displaced People as a social housing initiative to strengthen city resilience. Then, she will discuss Zhytomyr‘s leadership in energy efficiency, focusing on reducing dependence on Russian natural gas and managing blackouts during the current crisis.
